Me and Lisa (one of the co-creators of A Royal Affair)
Stylist putting together outfits with the clothes, shoes, and accessories that were donated.Every now and them we deserved to be spoiled an pampered. Some of us can afford to pamper ourselves, but just don't not have the time. However there are many young women who have the opportunity to be "spoiled". About a week ago I went to an event called "A Royal Affair", and it was put together by Sapphire, Inc. and the event was held at The Hair Artistry in Atlanta. I asked the creators of A Royal Affair how they came up with the concept:
"Lisa and I both have a passion for working with girls, especially those who may not have the same opportunities as others! We believe that every girl should feel special and what better way than being treated like a princess! We had an idea and ran with it! When you step out on faith, everything falls into place. Everything was donated from the clothing to the venue! The girls were selected based on their stories after speaking with their mothers and their "fight against the odds! Whether they suffered from self esteem issues to being straight A students, they truly deserved it! We came up with the idea because we wanted to give some girls that wouldn't normally have the opportunity to get pampered that would not normally get that opportunity. .
