As a young girl (and even now) I would see certain women who were so successful, beautiful, smart, powerful, and I would always wonder why couldn't I be her. I would wonder what type of life has she lived to get to where she is and why was it that I did have that type of life. Well, that is just one of the reasons I founded my non profit organization, The She is Me Program, Inc., to expose young women to positive role models and to show them that in every successful woman there is a young girl who had the desire, and the passion to be where she currently is now.
This past Saturday The She is Me Program had a seminar for teen girls who were interested in careers in the field of Entertainment and the Arts. Guest Speakers at the seminar were Actress Kaira Akita (Tyler Perry Films, BET Somebodies), Nina Brown (Producer of the Frank and Wanda Morning Show V-103-Atlanta), Nevaina Rhodes (BET Sombodies Tyler Perrys of Payne), Christal D. Jordan (President Enchanted PR), Casting Director and CEO of RTSE Leslie Greene, Entertainment Attorney Evita Kaigler, and Toya Exnicious. This Seminar was extremely impactful, the speakers not only touched the young women that were in attendance but they touched me and the rest of my team.
Many thanks to all of our Supporters; Chick-fil-a, RTSE, The A Spot, The B+ Campaign, AVON, A.B.C. Associates Entertainment Firm, Style FX Studio, and ULINE.
Here is a clip of the event...Enjoy!
